When solo artist ROXX REVOLT met THE VELVETS, lightning struck and started a fire. From those raging flames and embers, Roxx Revolt & The Velvets was officially born.
With metal maestro DAN HEATH on bass, a wizard on the guitar — JAKE SHOCKLEY — and ear-splitting percussion, the daring Venezuela-born vocalist tied a ribbon and made her stage name their statement.
Each member’s individuality has molded RR&TV into what is nothing less than a supernova of glam rock, classic rock and roll and riotous punk. The group’s energy itself is where power and glamour meet. Being heavily influenced by groups like the Rolling Stones, Iggy and the Stooges, T.Rex, the Clash, Black Sabbath, and David Bowie, they roll their own way by creating a mix of genres they define as “glammy-punk and roll.”
The band debuted at Florida non-profit Love Your Rebellion’s “Rock for Equality” benefit show in November of that year. Since then, they’ve been ripping through South Florida while also making plans to tour not only the rest of the state, but the country.
Their first EP will be released in late 2019 and their debut full-length album is set to be released by the beginning of 2020.
